0.0 ANOTHER MOSCATO?! NO WAY!

0.0 ANOTHER MOSCATO?! NO WAY!

Review: Man, this one got me drunk faster than I could say when. I loved it. I will admit though, it was bitter as hell. I mean, I’ve had some bitter wines before but this one took the cake. I finished this whole bottle in one evening, and as the night went on, the bitterness slowly subsided which was a relief. I didn’t have much food with this wine, so I couldn’t say what kind of foods it would go good with. But if you like my other reviews, and if you wanna get drunk, this one is the one for you!

Mmmmmm...soo good.

Mmmmmm…soo good.

Review: I admit, I haven’t been writing reviews up until now. It is hard, I mean when you honestly want to enjoy a nice wine, the last thing I wanted to do was write a review. But someone’s gotta do it! This wine was actually very surprising with its sweet and tarty taste and very aromatic scent. It can be best described as a carbonated strawberry jolly rancher with a kick to it. This wine is recommended for beginners because of the sweetness and the smoothness as it goes down.

Cheap-o Wine: Mad Dog 20/20 – Blue Raspberry

Mad Dog 20/20 - Blue Raspberry

This is not wine this is pure alcohol…

Review: First off, I have to say that it is a definite chore just to drink this “wine“…It is pungent with the smell of alcohol, tastes like pure vodka, and looks like a melted blue Slurpee.  It isn’t Red Velvet horrible, it just really tastes like alcohol, and that is not what I was looking forward to. Come to think of it, most wine actually tastes a lot better than harder liquor. This drink doesn’t get the title of “wine” in my book at all. As you swallow this blue concoction, the initial taste is refreshing and then the aftertaste is something you wish you could have avoided. Even with my cup half full, I fear I can’t stomach the rest of whats left…we’ll see. I am just forewarning you, this wine is not for beginners. Drink at your own risk.

Mad Dog 20/20-Red Grape Wine

Actually didn’t taste half bad.

Review: Huzzah!!! Another good tasting red wine!!! (I haven’t had much luck in the past with these darker red wines). But, as a whole this wine is sweet, cheap, and hits the spot with some good food. I got perpetually smashed by drinking the MD 20/20-Orange Jubilee wine and this one, which at the time was a good thing until I got sick the next day which was no fun. BUT alas, I will not bash the wine for getting me sick. It has a definitive taste that reminds me of spiked punch. I would probably recommend this wine to newbies and avid wine drinkers because it’s pretty tasty. The only drawback is the aftertaste that rides for a while on the tongue after consumption. It is like the alcohol kinda sticks to the taste buds and won’t let go. So just be weary.

Sutter Home - White Zinfadel

It took a bit, but this wine is drinkable…barely.

Review: Friday night was when it all started, I figured I would try my wine like I normally would and everything would be hunky dory. I was definitely wrong. This wine was first on the agenda and to my dismay I found out rather quickly that it was really bitter and dry. It is drinkable mind you, but just barely…I do have to say that if you want to get drunk though, this wine is the one for you! Only two of these baby bottles literally put me under the table which really surprised me. I would recommend this wine to people who have already had a plethora of wines under their belt because this one is not for the feint of heart. Overall, it didn’t taste so bad that I couldn’t drink it but it was really close.

A Dastardly Night of Threes: FlipFlop-Cabernet Sauvignon

Flip Flop Cabernet Sauvignon

Literally right in the middle…

Review: I heard from a friend that FlipFlop is a great brand of wine to try, so I took the plunge and I got this one and two others. (Those reviews will come later this week!) But I have to admit that this Cabernet Sauvignon was much better than the one from Sutter Home for sure. I actually finished off my night by drinking half of this bad boy and I was quite pleased. I will admit that it is slightly earthy and robust but the flavor was tolerable and I was able to drink it without difficulty. If you have run out of different wines to try, this one could be a next possible choice. But just be forewarned, it is a little hard to handle at first but in the end you can drink it and that is all that matters.

It's not super special awesome, but oh so close!

It’s super special awesome!

Review: This is my first Red Wine that I have thoroughly enjoyed. We actually tried this wine while eating some cheese burgers and by-golly it matched really well. This wine had a slight earthy flavor but was all around sweet! Not moscato sweet, but pretty darn close. I drank this wine by it-self later on and the flavor was still just as good as the first time. The aftertaste wasn’t very noticeable which I was excited about. I would highly recommend this wine to beginners because for a Red Wine, it has a good flavor so it won’t turn you away from the Red type in general. I can’t exclaim how happy I was to find a good tasting Red Wine!
